Helius Energy appoints engineering contractor for flagship b

Helius Energy PLC said it has appointed McBurney Corp and Morgan Est PLC to carry out pre-engineering work on its flagship 65-megawatt biomass power plant in Stallingborough, Lincolnshire. The appointment is expected to lead to a minimum risk engineering, procurement and construction contract worth around 100 mln stg, Helius said. The biomass to power company said the pre-engineering work includes combustion trials, confirmation of the biomass fuel mixture, and front-end engineering design work and will take around 20 weeks to complete.
