Helius Energy PLC said General Capital Group PLC has subscribed to purchase about 1.6 mln shares in the company at 36.25 pence each.
The renewable energy company said it has proposed to buy back up to about 1.6 mln shares to avoid dilution of its stock due to the issue of the new shares to General Capital.
Helius Energy said it will fund the buy back out of the proceeds from the issue of shares to General Capital.
