What's in a logo?

The logo was devised from the visual representation of the mathematical ratio ‘Phi’ being 1 : 1.618.

This ratio was discovered reoccurring in nature and constantly defining the proportion of all things.

From man to mammoth, wave to wisteria and fish to fly - it seems we are all inclusive of this natural phenomenon. Called commonly, the golden mean. The logo is the mark of Helius Energy.

History

Since about 300 BC it has been recognised that there is an important ratio in the way that all things natural are constructed. 1 : 1.618: or ‘phi’ (pronounced Fie).

This ratio has been used throughout history emulating natures ‘natural’ proportioning in mathematics, architecture, art, etc, etc.

It is nicknamed the Golden Section, or the Golden Mean (Renaissance artists called it the ‘Divine proportion’) and the geometrical manifestation of this is shown as follows:
